Rudder — Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

By downloading or using the Rudder app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to App Store downloads; where these terms and Apple's EULA differ for an App Store purchase, Apple's EULA governs.

1. The App

Rudder is a personal expense-tracking app for iOS. You add your transactions manually or by importing statement files. The App does not connect to your bank.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the App. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You can delete your account, and your associated data, at any time from within the App.

3. Premium unlock (one-time purchase)

Rudder is free to use with a limited set of features. You can unlock the premium features with a single one-time in-app purchase — there is no subscription.

The purchase unlocks the premium features available at the time of purchase, for as long as the App and its supporting service remain available. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or its supporting services at any time. A one-time purchase does not guarantee access in perpetuity or the indefinite continuation of the service. If the service is ever discontinued, you will still be able to export your data as described below.

Payments, receipts, and refund requests are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account. We do not process payments directly.

4. Your data

The financial data you enter is yours. You can export it, and delete individual entries or your entire account, at any time from within the App. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Please use the App lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service, and don't misuse the App or others' data.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data — please keep your own backups by exporting your data. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published at this address, with the date of last update.
